As a Scrum Master in our insurance IT hub, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the successful delivery of software development projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration, efficient development processes, and the achievement of project goals. Your primary responsibility will be to champion Agile principles and Scrum practices, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and driving successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
Act as a servant-leader and Scrum expert, guiding and coaching multiple Agile development teams in the implementation of Scrum principles, values, and practices
Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment within the team
Empower and support the team in self-organization and cross-functionality, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance
Collaborate closely with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear understanding of requirements and timely delivery
Identify and address any potential impediments or blockers that may impact the team's ability to deliver, proactively seeking solutions and removing obstacles
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting Agile best practices, facilitating retrospectives, and implementing feedback loops
Provide guidance on Agile metrics and reporting, ensuring accurate and transparent project progress tracking
Actively contribute to the organization's Agile transformation efforts, sharing best practices and coaching other Scrum Masters and teams
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification
Proven experience as a Scrum Master, facilitating Agile software development projects in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding and practical experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), tools, and techniques
Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to address team dynamics and foster collaboration
Knowledge of the insurance industry and experience working with insurance-related systems or projects is a plus
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
