As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our business intelligence systems. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design and implement data models, and create insightful reports and dashboards using SQL, Power BI, and optionally DAX. Your technical expertise and analytical skills will contribute to data-driven decision-making within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain robust and scalable business intelligence solutions using SQL, Power BI, and optionally DAX.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Design and implement efficient data models to support reporting and analytics needs.
Create visually appealing and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Optimize and fine-tune SQL queries for performance improvement.
Perform data analysis and validation to ensure data quality and reliability.
Conduct data profiling and identify data quality issues or anomalies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources into a unified data model.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for business intelligence solutions.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in business intelligence tools and technologies.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and optimization.
Proficiency in Power BI for creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
Optional: Familiarity with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for advanced calculations and measures in Power BI.
Experience in designing and implementing data models for reporting and analytics purposes.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities.
Knowledge of engineering or technical domains is a plus.
