Company : Their work supports the advancement of custom ASIC and ASSP developments, driving innovation in the semiconductor industry. Currently, they are in search of a Senior Digital Design – Physical Implementation Engineer to join their dynamic team in Brno.
Position overview :As a Senior Digital Design – Physical Implementation Engineer, you'll lead the transformation of concept into real-world circuits, specializing in the physical side of digital design for cutting-edge semiconductor products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process RTL through implementation phases, including synthesis, DFT, STA, and place & route.
- Manage design intent, encompassing power intent/UPF and timing constraints/SDC.
- Lead DFT (Design for Test) and ATPG (Automatic Test Pattern Generation) efforts.
- Collaborate in floorplanning and power grid design.
- Contribute to clock tree synthesis to optimize circuit performance.
- Work diligently on timing closure to meet performance targets.
- Perform post-layout sign-off checks, including parasitics extraction, timing analysis, and power analysis.
- Ensure physical verification through DRC (Design Rule Check), LVS (Layout vs. Schematic), and ANT (Antenna) checks.
- Play a vital role in submitting GDS (Graphic Design System) data for Tape-In and contribute to critical Tape-Out activities.
Requirements:
- A strong willingness to specialize in physical implementation.
- Knowledge of synthesis, DFT, STA, and/or place & route tools.
- Proficiency in HDL languages, such as Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
- Proven experience in FPGA, ASIC, or ASSP development flow.
- Scripted programming skills, with Tcl expertise preferred; knowledge of Perl or Python is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, particularly in technical topics.
- A university degree in Electrical Engineering or Information Technology.
- An open mind with a strong desire to learn and apply new skills and concepts.
- Experience with functional verification and simulation is a valuable asset.
